Description

The walls to the west and north of the churchyard of St Michael are remnants of a former manor house, dating from around 1530. The north-east range of the manor house was in ruins by 1750 and mostly demolished by 1800. The west section features a brick wall with some decorative diaper work and shows evidence of a stack on the west side, along with the beginnings of the north and south walls of the manor house's north-east range. The north wall is constructed of English bond brick and includes a moulded plinth.
