Description
No. 6 Bridge Street is a shop and dwelling built in the early to mid-19th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of painted brick in Flemish bond and features a slate roof with a brick stack at one end. It has a double-depth plan and stands three stories tall with a two-window range. The ground floor has a 19th-century timber shop front that includes a central part-glazed door with an overlight and a dentilled cornice. The first and second floors have 19th-century sash windows, each with a single horizontal glazing bar. The first-floor windows are adorned with rendered lintels that have a moulded rosette at the center, flanked by vermiculated panels. The building is topped with deep bracketed wood eaves.
