Description
Manor Farm House is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in 1899, as indicated by the rainwater heads. The exterior features colourwashed roughcast and a tile roof from the 19th to 20th centuries. The chimneys are made of thin brick with square shafts set diagonally on rendered bases; the chimney between the left bays has four shafts, while another at the rear has two. The house has two storeys and an attic, with three main bays.
On the upper floor, there are three sash windows, with the left window having a small gable above it, and the right side featuring sashes flanking a paired wooden casement. There is another sash window on the ground floor to the right. Above the casement is a gable, and below it is a 19th-century rendered porch with a moulded parapet and a drip-mould over the door, which is flanked by two leaded windows. To the left on the ground floor, there is a rustic verandah. The house has two hipped attic dormers with paired leaded lights.
The interior has been significantly altered but still retains some timber framing, moulded stone fireplaces with four-centred arches, and a 17th-century back staircase featuring chunky turned balusters and a moulded handrail.
