Description
The Stable Block at Shardeloes is a 18th-century building that has been altered. It is rendered with stone dressings and quoins, topped with a hipped slate roof and a clock turret over the central section. The structure features a moulded wood cornice and stands two storeys tall. It has sash windows and modern Georgian style doorcases. The left side has a three-bay section with quoins on either side, while the right side includes a five-bay projecting section and a five-bay recessed central section, which has semi-circular stone arches that are now filled with modern doors and windows. The building has been converted into houses and is included for its group value.
