Description
Old Mill Cottage is a 18th century building that has been refaced from an earlier structure. The ground floor is made of colour washed brick, while the upper part is whitewashed plaster with a wooden moulded cornice. It features an old tiled roof and stands two storeys tall. The front facing the road has two wide Yorkshire casement windows, with shutters on the ground floor, and a central six-panelled door that is flush with two glazed panels. There is a small porch supported by two posts with a cornice and pediment. The west side elevation has double gables, with exposed timber framework on the north gable. The windows are irregular casements with glazing bars, and there is a 19th century canted bay window on the ground floor with slim pilasters, topped by a Welsh slate roof. At the back, there is a further extension that is an 18th century rectangular block, featuring two sash windows on the south garden elevation.
