Description

A pair of barns stand adjacent to the west of Denner Hill Farmhouse. The eastern barn dates to 1803, and the western barn to 1804. The lower portions of the walls are built of coursed Denner Hill stone, while the upper sections are timber-framed and clad with 20th-century weatherboarding. Both barns have tiled roofs.

The eastern barn comprises four bays, featuring an off-centre entry and a lean-to arrangement of loose boxes on its yard-facing side. The roof trusses exhibit braced tie beams and elbowed principals. The western barn, with five bays, includes a central entry and an aisle on the yard side. Its roof trusses are similar to the eastern barn's but incorporate ogee braces on the tie beams. Both barns have double doors on their northern sides, and small-doored gabled projections face the yard.
