Description
The White Swan Inn is a late 17th-century building that was refronted in the 18th century. It has two storeys and is finished in colour-washed stucco, featuring a projecting plinth and a moulded brick eaves cornice. The roof is covered with old tiles, and there is a chimney stack located to the right of the centre.
On the first floor, there is one small square window to the left, along with three three-light sash windows and one blocked single window, arranged as two three-light windows and one single three-light window. The ground floor has a large yard entrance to the left, a four-paned window, a small modern entrance door, a wide three-light sash window, and two four-paned windows.
The White Swan Inn is part of a group with The Bell Hotel and County Hall, located in Market Square.
