Description

This is a barn and cottages, likely dating from the 18th century, situated on Britwell Road in Burnham. The barn is timber-framed with an L-shaped layout, featuring an old tile roof and walls constructed of brick, weatherboarding, and corrugated iron. A gabled waggon entrance is situated in the angle of the barn. The cottages have modern tile roofs. The cottages have simple doors and irregularly placed casement windows. The cottage on the left is probably from the 17th century and timber-framed, with a ground floor of painted brick and a first floor that is plastered and oversails on a moulded beam. The cottage on the right has a brick facade and appears 18th century in style. A portion of the cottage on the left is also included as part of the barn range associated with Britwell Farm, No 58.
