Description
Alscot Cottage is a 17th-century house that has been altered over time. The left gable features a timber frame with brick infill, some of which is laid in a herringbone pattern. The front of the house was rebuilt in brick during the 18th and 19th centuries. It has a half-hipped roof covered with old tiles and two external brick chimneys, one on the left and another between the right bays. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The windows are three-light barred wooden casements, with the ground floor windows having segmental heads. There is a central door, and a 20th-century extension has been added to the rear.
