Description

The Dairy in the grounds of Elk Meadows, formerly known as Woodlands Park, is an early 19th-century building designed in the style of a cottage ornee. It features red brick and knapped flint construction, with a thatched roof that overhangs significantly and is supported by rustic columns. The entrance is gabled and approached by a pergola. The building has diamond glazed windows and a painted arched door fitted with strap hinges. Inside, it retains all of its original tiles—184 in total—depicting the Cries of London.
