Description
This is a large barn with a smaller barn attached to the south end, dating from the 17th century. The large barn is timber framed and features weatherboard cladding on the front and rear, asbestos hung tiles on the left gable, and the lower part of the right gable rebuilt in 17th century brick. The smaller barn is also timber framed but has brick infill and brick plinths. Both barns have corrugated asbestos roofs. The large barn consists of four bays, with a central door and a hayloft door, 19th century pigeon holes, and the left side obscured by a lean-to shed. The trusses include two tiers of queen struts on braced tie beams, clasped double purlins with curved wind-braces, and the partition features ogee tension braces. The smaller barn has two bays and a central queen strut truss.
