Description
Handy Cross Farmhouse is a house located in Little Marlow, likely dating from the 17th to early 18th century, with a west wing added in the early 19th century. The original section features flint with narrow brick dressings on the rear, while the front is rendered and colourwashed. The 19th-century part is similarly rendered at the front but has a brick rear. The house has an old tiled roof.
An external chimney made of thin brick with crow-stepped facing is located at the right end, and there is another brick chimney with grouped shafts on the 19th-century wing. The farmhouse has a tall gabled cross wing that projects to the right, which is two storeys high with an attic. There is also a two-storey gabled cross wing in the centre, with a 19th-century bay window abutting to the left, also two storeys high.
The windows are modern wooden casements, with three lights in the right bays and two lights over four lights in the left. A modern door is set in a small wooden porch located in the angle between the right bays. The interior has not been seen.
