Description

Nos 6, 6D, and 8 Castle Street are two-storey buildings with attics, dating from 1722. They feature a rainwater head with the initials A W and the date. The buildings are constructed of colour washed brick and have an old tiled roof behind a parapet. The first floor includes three sash windows and one casement window, all flush set with glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are two wide modern windows at either end, a central three-light sash window, and a 19th-century shop window with glazing bars and slim pilasters. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 24 (even).
