Description
The Stores Building at Abbey Mills, constructed around 1865 by Bazalgette, is a storage facility located to the west of the pumping station. It is built from grey brick with red brick and stone dressings, topped with a slate roof. The building is single storey and features a large round arched central entrance doorway with a panelled door, flanked by round arched window openings that are now blind. The entrance is adorned with gauged red brick voussoirs and terracotta dripmoulds, along with stone impost bands, a cornice, and a blocking course. The gabled end elevations have twin blind recesses. This building is listed for its group value with the main pumping station.
