Description
The Gate Lodge at Abbey Mills was built in 1865 by Bazalgette. It is a single-storey structure made of yellow brick, featuring red and black brick dressings and a slated roof. On the left side, there is a pedimented cross gable with a single round-headed sash window, and to the right, there is a door. A band course is present at the springing level, and each opening has finely gauged red brick arches. There are paired sash windows on either side and a side entrance door. The lodge is listed mainly for its group value with the main pumping station.
