Description

No. 37 in East Witton is a building that originally comprised two cottages but is now one. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof. The building is single storey and has two bays. The openings feature sandstone ashlar sills and lintels, with a boarded door and a blocked doorway. There are two side-sliding sash windows and end stacks. This building represents the smallest size of accommodation provided in the new village and is included for its group value.
