Description

No. 42 is a house located in East Witton, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof and has two storeys with two bays. The building features ashlar quoins and a central seven-panel part-glazed door set within an ashlar surround. The side-sliding sash windows have ashlar sills and lintels. The roof has shaped kneelers and ashlar copings, with end stacks. On the right return gable, there is a blocked square window that has a chamfered stone surround.
