Description

Airton Bridge is a road bridge, likely built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from dressed stone. The carriageway slopes upward towards the Airton side, where there is a solid abutment. On the Calton side, a pier with cutwaters and pilaster strips supports a low segmental arch, along with a smaller round arch that is also supported by another pilastered abutment. The bridge features solid parapets.
