Description
This is an early 19th-century former cotton mill, now used for multiple purposes. It is constructed of squared rubble with a stone slate roof. The building has three storeys and eight bays facing the stream, and seven bays to the rear. Rusticated quoins, coped gables with kneelers, and a small hip roof are present on one side. The south gable end features loading doorways, which have been converted into windows, and a small bellcote at the apex. The rear elevation is similar, but the first floor incorporates a recent loggia featuring round-headed archways; these are constructed using the remaining jambs of former windows. The roof has been altered to accommodate rooflights.
