Description

The forecourt walls, railings, and gate located to the east of The Lane Cottage were likely built in the late 19th century, around the same time as alterations to the cottage. The walls are low, approximately 18 inches high, and made of rough-dressed stone. The railings consist of four tubular rails supported by wrought-iron uprights that feature split, scrolled terminals. The gate is designed with standards that include iron-twist and scrollwork decoration.
