Description
The stableblock to The Haggs is an early 19th-century structure built of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof. It features a central projecting gabled coach house that is two storeys high and consists of one bay, flanked by single-storey wings. The left wing serves as a stable, while the right wing is a workshop. The coach house has a segmental-arched doorway with double board doors and a flat-arched opening above, along with a lunette with a ledge in the gable. The left wing has a central board door with a stone lintel, flanked by fixed lights with stone sills and lintels, and its roof is hipped to the left. At the time of the survey, some slates were missing. Inside, there is evidence of stalls. The right wing features a central board door with small flat-arched openings on either side, the one on the right having a 20th-century lintel, and its roof is hipped to the right.
