Description
The garden shelter, located approximately 50 meters south-west of Low House, is likely from the 19th century. It is constructed from watershot coursed sandstone and features a pitched roof made of large stone slates. This small, rectangular, single-storey building faces north with an open front and has its back against the road. The front slope of the roof has four graduated courses of stone slates, while the rear slope consists of two massive flagstones, each with the bottom corners cut out to fit simple ball finials, though the left finial is missing. The ridge of the roof has a stool at each end, presumably intended for similar ball finials that are also now absent. The shelter is part of a group that includes Low House, a former stable attached to the south-west corner, and a barn on the east side of the entrance.
