Description
Weavers Yard consists of a pair of one-up-one-down cottages, likely built around 1800. They are constructed from mixed random rubble with quoins and feature a slate roof. The cottages have a rectangular two-unit plan and stand two low storeys tall, with one window on each floor for each cottage. The doorways are located to the left and right, each with board doors. There are two hornless sashed windows on each floor, with the ground floor window on the right having 12 panes, while the others have 16 panes. A tall lateral chimney is positioned at the center of the ridge. This building is an unusual example of the simplest type of two-storey cottage. The interior has not been inspected. Weavers Yard forms a group with Nos. 2 and 3, which are located on the opposite side of the yard.
