Description

Calgarth House is a farmhouse dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed from ashlar and coursed squared stone, topped with a graduated stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and two bays, with the front section dating from the 18th century. It features quoins and a central board door set in a plain stone surround. The windows on the front are three-light with flat-faced mullions. The rear of the house, which dates from the 17th century, has two and three-light double-chamfered openings. There is a ridge stack, and the building was noted to be partially ruinous at the time of the last survey.
