Description
Woodhouse Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. It is constructed of ashlar and rubblestone, topped with a graduated stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays, with the left-hand central bay projecting forward. To the left of the right-hand bay, there is a board door set in a chamfered surround featuring a 4-centred arch. The outer bays are adorned with 4-light double-chamfered mullioned windows that have hoodmoulds. The left-hand central bay has a similar 6-light window with a hoodmould. On the first floor, the outer bays and the left-hand central bay contain 3-light chamfered mullioned windows with hoodmoulds, while the window above the door has 2 lights. The farmhouse features a large ridge stack and another stack positioned halfway up the roof on the right side. Inside, there are early 16th-century doors and elm partitions, along with a moulded fireplace that has a 3-centred arch beneath a square head.
