Description
Nos 51 and 53 on Staithe Road is an early 18th-century building that was originally one structure. It is two stories tall and features a pebble dash finish over brick. The building has a first-floor band, a plinth, and a cove cornice, topped with a steeply pitched pantiled roof. There are six sash windows, which now have only central glazing bars, set in flush frames with rendered flat arches at the ground floor. The entrance to No 51 has a six-panel door with an eared architrave and a pediment, while No 53 has a six-panel door within a wooden case, flanked by slender pilasters and topped with a cornice.
