Description
No. 168 on High Street is a house built in the late 18th century and altered in the mid-19th century. The ground floor is made of red brick, while the upper levels feature plain and fish-scale tile-hanging in bands. There are wooden side battens and some mathematical tiling on the right return front, which faces Castle Gate. The second floor has top-opening casements, the first floor features glazing bar sashes, and the ground floor has sashes without glazing bars. The entrance includes a Doric columned porch with an entablature-hood and a six-panelled door. Additionally, there is a three-window front facing Castle Gate.
