Description
This bridge, built around 1850 when Mill Road was laid out, is constructed from Pulborough stone. It features three semi-circular arches, with the central arch being depressed. A massive stringcourse runs at road level, and the parapet has battered coping that ends in circular piers topped with conical caps. There are recessed passing places with 90-degree salient angles that are corbelled out on squinches between the arches. The bridge is part of a group that includes The Home Farmhouse, farm buildings, a pumping house, and the retaining walls to the pools.
