Description
Saddlescombe Farmhouse is a large L-shaped house, with the south wing dating back to the 16th century or earlier and constructed from timber framing, featuring a half-hipped gable that is now tile-hung. The main east-west wing has an 18th-century front made of red brick on the south side and is topped with a tiled roof. The glazing bars are intact, and there is a 19th-century bay window on the ground floor. The building has two storeys and an attic, with four windows and three dormers that have 19th-century gables. The north front has been refaced with Roman cement and features six windows. A gabled porch contains a doorway with a segmental fanlight, and there is an additional gable and gabled dormer to the east of the porch.
