Description

This is a small barn or cattle shed located 100 meters east of Grange Farmhouse, dating from the 16th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The barn is low and consists of six small bays, with aisles around all sides. There are doors in every other bay on the courtyard side, and a set of double doors on the far side. At one end, there is a low two-bay building that connects it to a cart shed. Inside, the barn features a queen strut roof with windbraces, and the main posts are set on a brick plinth. The aisle ties are only connected to the posts beside the double doors.
