Description

Nos 13, 14, and 15 Friar’s Walk form a house pair dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of grey headers with red brick quoins and dressings, featuring a flat wooden eaves soffit beneath a slate roof with stacks positioned to the left and right of the centre. The three-storey facade has a three-window front, with the pair of bays to the right being closer together than the left. It includes glazing bar sash windows set in open boxes to the left, with segmental gauged heads above. A double margin-light French door opens onto a cast-iron balcony to the right. Round-arched entrances, each with panelled doors, are located to the left of the left-hand and central ground-floor windows, and to the right of the right-hand window. Number 15 is noted as one of the narrowest houses in England.
