Description

The former stables of the Grammar School, located to the south of the original building, date from the early 19th century. The structure is built of coursed stone with red brick dressings and quoins, topped by a hipped slate roof. The glazing bars are intact. The building has two storeys, with the coach-house situated at the east end, featuring three segmental-headed double doors and three windows above. The stables are located to the west and slightly project, containing five windows. This building is included for its group value.
