Description
The Chichester District Council Offices is a large house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with all headers, featuring rusticated stone quoins, a stringcourse, and a plinth. The building has a wooden modillion eaves cornice and a slate roof. To the south of the center, there is a large two-storeyed five-sided bay that is hung with red mathematical tiles. On the first floor, there are Venetian windows with stone surrounds and keyblocks at each end of the front, and the glazing bars remain intact. There is a rusticated doorway to the north of the bay, which includes a keystone, cornice, and a semi-circular fanlight. The building has two storeys and an attic, with five windows and three dormers. The south wall is made of uncoursed stone rubble set in galletting.
