Description

This is a late 16th century timber-framed building that has been divided into two cottages, numbered 4 and 5, and known as Birch Cottage and Malthouse Cottage respectively. The building has a painted brick infill between the timber framing, and prominent sprocket eaves. It has a tiled roof and casement windows. The cottage is two storeys high with four windows.
