Description

The Parish Church of St Mary is a Grade II* listed building located on the north side of The Street in Washington. The church features a chancel, a nave with aisles, a south porch, and a west tower. The tower dates back to the 15th century, while the majority of the church was largely rebuilt by Gordon Hills between 1866 and 1867. The north arcade of the nave, however, is from the 12th century.
