Description

The Shell Grotto, located to the northwest of Carne's Seat in Goodwood Park, is one of the finest shell grottoes in the country. It features an opening in the hillside that is lined with shells, created in the mid-18th century by the Duchess of Richmond, the wife of the second Duke, along with her daughters.
