Description

Corner House and How-man, known as The Old Cottage, is a block of three cottages that share a single roof span. The Old Cottage is a medieval former open hall house believed to date from around 1300, while the other two cottages are likely from the 17th century or earlier. The building is two storeys high and features five windows. It is faced with stone rubble that has been patched with cement, and the east end of Corner House has red brick quoins. How-man has recently been refaced in brown brick. The cottages have a steeply pitched hipped tiled roof and casement windows. The Old Cottage also has a kingpost roof.
