Description
The South West Gateway to the Goodwood Estate, located to the east of Waterbeach Lodge in Goodwood Park, dates from the early 19th century. It features a round-headed carriage archway made of flints set in galletting, with a cove above and tiled coping. There are circular holes in the spandrels of the archway. These gates do not provide access to Goodwood Park itself but lead to a part of the estate that is used for agricultural purposes, including the Home Farm. The road that the gates lead to is unnamed.
