Description
Charlton Court is a large, T-shaped building with elements dating from the 17th century, 18th century, and 19th century. The south wing is from the 17th century and has been refaced with cement. It has two storeys and three windows, featuring an eaves cornice. The front of the roof is tiled, while the rear, which creates a pentice, is covered in Horsham slabs. Casement windows are present. The west wing comprises two parallel ranges: a north range from the 17th century and a south range from the 18th century. Both ranges have two storeys and two windows. The north end and south fronts of the north range are cemented, while the west wall is constructed of flints and tile-hanging. The south range has a tiled roof, and the north range has Horsham slabs. Horizontally-sliding sash windows with original glazing bars are found throughout. The east wing, dating from the 19th century, is faced with flints.
