Description

138 and 140 High Street are a timber-framed building and a later addition, located on the north-east side of Steying High Street. Number 138 is a medieval building that was refaced in the 18th century and subsequently modernised. Number 140 is a 19th-century addition of a higher elevation. The building has two storeys and five windows. The ground floor is red brick with grey brick headers, while the upper floor is tile hung. The front of the building has a bend, and the south end is rounded. The building has modern windows and a modern tiled roof.
