Description
Colemore House is a house that was formerly a rectory, dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century, with a 20th-century extension. The building features walls of painted brickwork in Flemish bond, with some areas rendered, showing brickwork markings. It has a hipped slate roof. The south front is two storeys high and has a symmetrical arrangement of windows, with one central recessed feature. The windows are sashes set in reveals. The doorway has a plain 20th-century classical surround that frames an 18th-century opening, complete with panelled reveals and a six-panelled door. Inside, there is an original staircase located at the rear of the entrance hall, which also features panelled dados and a marble floor. There is a single-storey 20th-century service wing that matches the style of the main building.
