Description

No 1 Cliffe High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It was built in the early 19th century and features a timber frame that is covered in fish-scale slates. The roof is pyramidal and made of slate. The building has three storeys and a symmetrical front with two windows. The first floor has glazing bar sash windows, while the second floor has standard sash windows. The shopfront, which dates from the late 19th century, includes a doorway positioned at a 45-degree angle at the right-hand corner. Above the entrance is a 2/3-glazed door that has a flat hood supported by large console brackets.
