Description
Star House is an early 19th-century building located on Brighton Road in Newtimber. It is two storeys high and features three windows. The exterior is faced with flints, complemented by red brick dressings and quoins. A flint stringcourse runs along the building, and there is a wide eaves cornice beneath a hipped slate roof. The windows are fitted with Venetian shutters and retain their glazing bars. A later addition is a red brick porch that contains a round-headed doorway topped with a semi-circular fanlight, above which is a statue of a lion couchant.
