Description
There are three tombchests located 20 meters north of the chancel of St Mary's Church, dedicated to Gualterus Mildmay and his family from 1741, Fanny Young from 1789, and Henrietta Wellond from the 18th century. Additionally, there is a stone cross situated 10 meters south of the chancel. The tombchests are made of Portland stone, while the cross is crafted from brown sandstone. The tombchest for Gualterus Mildmay and family dates back to 1741, Fanny Young's tombchest is from 1789, and Henrietta Wellond's is from the 18th century. The cross, from the 19th century, stands on three octagonal steps and features an octagonal base with spurs. The shaft of the cross begins as a square with spurs and transitions into a diminishing octagonal section, topped with a wrought iron cross.
