Description

Row Cottage is an early 20th-century cottage designed by G H Lupton, following a low-cost design by William Morris. The building is shaped in an L form and features a significant amount of timber, with interior finishes in oak, elm, and chestnut. It has a distinctive mansard roof that is so deep that the gutters are approximately one metre above the ground. The exterior consists of painted brick walls, with gables that are tile-hung up to the level of the ground floor window heads. The doorway is centrally located in the angle of the building, topped with a gable above a window, and features a tile apron on brackets above a plain door.
