Description

Pansy Cottages are small cottages that were originally one unit. They have their origins in timber framing, primarily from the 18th century, with some early 19th-century features. The walls are made of painted brickwork arranged in Flemish Garden Wall bond. The roof is half-hipped and covered with tiles, featuring one hipped dormer and an east gable adorned with a scalloped bargeboard. The cottages are one storey with an attic and have irregular window arrangements with casements. There are two plain doorways and a large tapered chimney stack at the west end, along with a single-storeyed south wing at the east end. These cottages are included for their group value.
