Description

Broadlands is a late 18th-century building originally constructed of Malmstone with brick dressings, although the front and sides have been faced with slates and whitewashed. It is two storeys high and has a low-pitched slate roof with wide eaves. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. The west front is centrally recessed and has a classical porch extending up to the first storey. The porch features an architrave supported by two stone Doric columns, a six-panelled door, a panelled door case, a surround of egg and dart moulding, and a decorated frieze, approached by three wide stone steps. Later additions to the north-east are tile-hung.
