Description
Nos. 7-10 are a row of terraced houses located in Stanmer Park, Brighton, dating from the mid- or late 19th century. They are constructed of coursed flint with red brick dressings and have tiled roofs. The houses are two storeys high, each featuring two windows. The entrances have flat arches and are set within added porches that have hipped roofs, except for No. 10, which has an open gabled porch on the right side. The sides have red-brick quoins. The ground-floor windows are segmental-arched, while the first-floor windows are cambered-arched, both fitted with horizontal sliding sashes. There is a brick dentil cornice, and the houses share ridge stacks with oversailing courses. The interior has not been inspected. Most of the houses in Stanmer Park suffered significant damage during military occupation in the Second World War and were restored after Brighton Corporation acquired the estate in 1947.
