29/396 The Fire Engine House together with the Garden Temple adjoining II

Outhouse and garden temple, late fire engine house. The back of this building facing east is the oldest portion. This is an C18 outhouse. Sandstone rubble with red brick dressings and quoins. Hipped tiled roof. Round-headed doorway with semi-circular fanlight. To the west of this an ornamental front has been added in the early C19 to form a garden house and to conceal the utilitarian building. This is a stuccoed building with a slate roof and a portico of four Doric columns with a pediment over.
