Description

A group of stables, a coach house, and an archway, dating from 1858, situated northeast of Adhurst St Mary. The buildings are constructed of stone with a steep slate roof. The complex is arranged in a T-shape, comprising three structures of varying heights. A north-south range, originally the coach house and now garages, features three large doorways facing the service yard and connects to a Gothic archway. The archway has gables with kneelers and buttresses on its open side. To the east is a plain stable block. The western building, visible from the forecourt, is taller and incorporates a large mullion and transom window in its west gable, along with a high porch accessed by a flight of steps. The carriage arch separates the entrance forecourt from the service yard.
